FRIDAY 17:45 - 19:45 - Introduction to ATS® movement dialect with the flamenco manton (shawl)

In this class we will learn the basics of manton technique and several fast movements with manton – some Devi Mamak’s steps and some steps created by Agata and Katarzyna. We will practise all steps in combos and try to use them in groups. Please bring a big square shawl (size approximately 115x115cm) – doesn’t have to be a professional manton. Agata can also bring some shawls for sale (send us a message if you want one).

SATURDAY 14:30 - 16:30 - Introduction to ATS® movement dialect with flamenco fan

Fan is a very gentle and elegant prop, it emphasizes the movement and the character of a step. The workshop will be an introduction to this prop; we will learn how use it in basic ATS® slow steps created by The Siren Project, we will
focus on floreo technique and synchronization. We will practice using combos and we will try utilizing them in group formations. Please bring a fan: 23 cm – 30 cm, easy to open (made from wood or plastic).

SUNDAY 15:45 - 17:45 - ATS® with manton – steps and beyond

This is a workshop created for people who already learned the basics of The Siren Project manton dialect (for example they have taken the Intro workshop) and would like to solidify their skills and take it to the next level. This class will
start with a short review of basic manton technique and steps. We will then move on to more advanced steps, as well as some interesting ways to use them in groups. We will also touch on musicality and creating a dynamic flamenco-
inspired performance. Please bring a big square shawl (size approximately  115x115cm) – doesn’t have to be a professional manton. Agata can also bring some shawls for sale. If you would like to have more in-depth experience with the manton dialect, it is possible to combine the Intro workshop and the Steps and beyond workshop into a short intensive. They can be also sold as separate topics, but I recommend that the participants take the Intro workshop before taking the Steps and beyond.

Friday 15:15 - 17:15 -
Locked & Loaded: A Combination Arsenal

These fusion combinations are deadly and delicious. You'll be a smooth criminal with a hard edge when we layer flow and locking isolations. Tricky and fun, you'll leave feeling like a badass!

SATURday 16:45 - 18:45 - BELLY FLOW WORK

In this workshop, we will explore the floor! The focus will be on maintaining an even flow of movement inspired by yoga and exotic dance, while incorporating belly dance isolations. Remember to dress appropriately for working on the ground, and bring knee-pads if you need them! This will be a physically challenging class, so come prepared to work!

SUNday 10:30 - 12:30 - MILK IT

How slow can you go? Start by learning a few combos at mid-tempo, then take parts or all of each and slow them waaaay down. Can you still command attention? It is the INTENTION. We will also talk about how subtle dynamic shifts using fast-twitch movement over stillness can bring your dance to the next level.

OLGA MEOS
SATURday 16:45 - 18:45 -
CONTRAST OF MOTION

After learning of the standard 8-counting combinations we often have a desire to make your dance more alive and interesting for the viewer. And this contrast makes people laugh, cry with joy or cry. For example roller-coaster that move slowly, and then almost throw you into the abyss before gently returning back to earth. That is what we are going to do on the class - the addition of emotions in motion, contrast, slow and fast to make your dance more incredible and powerful.

SUNday 13:30 - 15:30 - HANDs FREEDOM

This class begins with a warm-up your biceps, triceps, deltas, and other muscles of the shoulder, because our hands gives us a picture, frame, drawing around your body. Arm, forearm, wrist, fingers - stretch our muscles and move all your bones! And then start doing "hand" Choreography. We will work as well as with individual hand movements and layering with body work.

SILVIA ORCHIDACEAE

Sunday 10:30 - 12:30 - LOOP-THE-LOOP

Dynamic and dense drills that work in tension and release, slow and fast. In this workshop you’ll get to deconstruct and practice your way into the loop. It’ll be a hell of a ride!
